We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a well-established domiciliary care branch in Sunderland, currently delivering just under 1,000 care hours per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong care professional to play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, supporting the Registered Manager while helping to drive quality, compliance and continued growth.
About the Role
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the domiciliary care service
- Help maintain high standards of quality and compliance with CQC regulations
- Lead, support and develop the care and office teams
- Oversee care planning, assessments, reviews and risk management
- Support with safeguarding concerns, incidents and investigations
- Assist with recruitment, training, supervision and performance management
- Monitor quality through audits, spot checks and service reviews
- Build strong relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals
- Support the continued growth and development of the branch
- Take responsibility for the service in the Registered Manager''s absence
- Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, quality and person-centred care
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Care Manager, Team Manager or Senior within domiciliary/home care
- Good understanding of CQC regulations and compliance
- Experience leading and supporting care teams
- Strong knowledge of care planning, safeguarding and quality assurance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and hands-on approach to management
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care would be desirable, although not essential
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
