Deputy Manager - Children''s Residential Home Location: Leicester ( LE67 ) Salary: 16.50 per hour + 45 per sleep-in Hours: 160 hours per monthAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced and committed Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of a 4-bed children''s residential home for young people aged 8-17. This role is key to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care in line with the Children''s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. You will lead shifts, support staff, and help create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Registered Manager in the effective running of the homeTake responsibility for the home in the Manager''s absenceLead shifts and provide direction to the staff teamEnsure safeguarding practices are consistently upheldSupport young people''s emotional, social, and educational developmentSupervise, mentor, and develop staff performanceEnsure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsWork in partnership with local authorities, schools, and professionalsContribute to audits, inspections, and quality assurance processesRequirementsLevel 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (essential)Experience working in a children''s residential settingPrevious leadership or senior-level experienceStrong knowledge of safeguarding and childcare regulationsWillingness to undertake Level 5 Leadership and Management qualificationWhat''s on ..... full job details .....
