Deputy Headteacher

PK Education are seeking an experienced, resilient, and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join the leadership team of a SEN school in Newcastle. This is a senior leadership opportunity within a challenging yet rewarding environment, ideal for a driven individual who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on students and staff.

About the Role

As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school’s culture, driving improvements in behaviour, attendance, and inclusion, and supporting the Headteacher in leading the school through continued development and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on behaviour, culture, and attendance strategies to improve student outcomes
• Support the Headteacher with the strategic leadership and day-to-day running of the school
• Provide visible, consistent leadership, modelling high expectations for staff and students
• Lead, motivate, and develop staff working in challenging classroom and pastoral settings
• Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions
• Work collaboratively with external agencies to support vulnerable students
• Promote and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

About You

• Proven leadership experience within a challenging or high-need school setting
• Strong expertise in behaviour management, safeguarding, and inclusion
• Resilient, calm under pressure, and solution-focused
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and staff development skills
• Committed to raising standards and delivering measurable improvements
• Passionate about supporting both staff and students to achieve their full potential
