Deputy Headteacher & SENDCo

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate leader to join a primary school in Sheffield as Deputy Headteacher with SENDCo responsibilities.

The school is seeking a highly effective leader who can combine strategic leadership with a strong commitment to inclusion and SEND provision. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to pupils, staff and the wider school community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the strategic leadership and daily management of the school

• Leading and developing SEND provision-across the school

• Ensuring high-quality teaching and inclusive practice for all pupils

• Working closely with staff, parents and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for children with additional needs

• Supporting school improvement priorities and pupil achievement

The successful candidate will:

• Hold SENDCo experience or the NASENCo qualification (or be willing to work towards it)

• Have leadership experience at Assistant Headteacher level or above

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive education and safeguarding

• Be an excellent communicator and team leader

• Have a proven ability to improve outcomes for pupils
