Working closely with the Education Manager, you will play a key role in the effective day-to-day management of the education department, ensuring the smooth running of operations, supporting staff performance, and helping learners achieve outstanding outcomes.

• Support the Education Manager with the daily operational management of the department
• Assist with staff deployment, timetabling, and resource management
• Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment are maintained
• Support curriculum delivery to meet the needs of learners, the prison environment, and organisational objectives
• Monitor learner progress, achievement, and attendance
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to teaching staff

• Experience within education leadership or management
• A recognised teaching qualification
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to motivate and support teams effectively
• Experience of quality assurance and learner achievement monitoring
• A proactive and solution-focused approach
• A passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential

Experience within prison education or alternative learning environments would be advantageous, although not essential.
