About the Team The Housing, Planning and Cities team are responsible for overseeing the spending for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). This involves working with MHCLG on policies to accelerate housing building, make housing more affordable, regional economic growth and devolution. As well as MHCLG, we work closely with many other teams in HMT, No10 including No10 North, and other departments. We are responsible for over £10 billion of public spending each year, including housing, homelessness, planning reform and regional growth.
