Deputy Children''s Home Manager

Support the running of a children''s residential home, taking responsibility for day-to-day operations on a rota basis.

Role details

Starting salary up to -35,448 per annum on completion of probation and the relevant Level 4 qualification. You will work 37 hours per week on a rota, including weekends and bank holidays, with occasional sleep-ins paid in addition.

The role

The Deputy Children''s Home Manager will help oversee the service, ensuring consistent, safe and supportive care for children in the home. The role exists to provide additional leadership capacity on shift and to maintain high standards of practice in line with the organisation''s requirements.

What you''ll be doing

- Supporting the overall day-to-day management of the children''s home in line with organisational policies
- Working a rota that includes weekends, bank holidays and occasional sleep-ins as required
- Providing leadership and guidance to staff during shifts
- Contributing to a safe, structured and nurturing environment for children
- Supporting with recording, reporting and other operational duties linked to the running of the home

What we''re looking for

- Ability and willingness to work a rota including weekends and bank holidays
- Flexibility to undertake occasional sleep-in duties with prior notice
- Experience working within a residential or similar care setting with children or young people
- Capability to take on deputy-level responsibilities within a children''s home environment
