Job Title: Deputy Chief EngineerLocation: Dorset (Hybrid / Flexible Working Available)Security Clearance: Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)About the RoleWorking as an agency partner for a leading global defense and maritime innovator, we are seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer to support the Submarine Systems Division.Working alongside key divisional leaders, you will drive the application of the Engineering Lifecycle, own solution and technology roadmaps, oversee architectural design, and mentor a team of System Design Authorities (SDAs).Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership: Chair technical reviews, oversee system specifications, and sanction architectural design solutions across the product portfolio.Strategy and Innovation: Drive technology roadmaps, monitor emerging market trends, and identify candidate solution options for complex customer requirements.Customer and Product Support: Collaborate with Product Managers on opportunity roadmaps and support SDAs on complex customer programs.Team Leadership and Line Management: Line manage, mentor, and resource-plan for System Design Authorities within the division.Key Requirements and BackgroundStrong background as a Systems Thinker with experience across system modeling, requirements management, system design, or product lifecycles.Technical domain expertise in one or more of the following:Sonar/seismic arrays, acoustic/RF systems, or sensor signal processingReal-time systems, decision support, or industrial ..... full job details .....
