Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 Hours per week

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Care Manager to join a well-established care home in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a genuine passion for caring for others, and the drive to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
About the Role
As a Deputy Care Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home and the highest standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the day-to-day management of the home and ensuring compliance with CQC regulations
- Leading, mentoring, and motivating the care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care
- Conducting care assessments, developing care plans, and monitoring ongoing support
- Ensuring residents’ health, wellbeing, and dignity are always at the heart of what we do
- Acting as a point of contact for families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Taking responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
About You
We’re looking for someone who is approachable, organised, and committed to delivering the highest standards of care. You should have:
- Previous experience in a senior care role (Team Leader, or Deputy Manager)
- A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- A good understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for supporting older people and enhancing their quality of life
