Deputy Care Home Manager
Deputy Care Home Manager (A Rare & Discreet Opportunity)
Norfolk Countryside | Circa £35,000 per annum
Some roles shout for attention.
This one doesn’t need to.
Tucked away in the stunning Norfolk countryside a small, privately owned care homes that does things a little differently. They’ve built reputations for exceptional, person-centred care — and just as importantly, for creating workplaces where people genuinely want to stay. (In fact, “retirement” is the most common reason roles become available.)
Which brings us to this opportunity.
We’re quietly seeking a Deputy Care Home Manager to support the continued success of this home, working alongside a highly experienced, long-standing Home Manager. It’s a chance to step into a role where stability, quality, and genuine care come first — not constant change or corporate churn.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll play a key part in both the day-to-day running and the long-term success of the home. You will:
- Support the daily management of the home
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a loyal and established team
- Ensure consistently high standards of care, compliance, and resident wellbeing
- Help maintain the warm, “home-from-home” atmosphere the homes are known for
- Confidently step up in the Manager’s absence
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings both experience and the right mindset:
- Currently a Deputy Manager, or a strong Team Leader ready for the next step
- Understands that great care is equal parts compliance and compassion
- Leads with quiet confidence, empathy, and a good sense of humour
- Values consistency, relationships, and doing things properly over doing them quickly
- Holds a solid understanding of CQC regulations
- Is a driver with access to a vehicle
Why This Role?
- A genuinely rare opening within two highly regarded, privately run homes
- Supportive ownership that prioritises people over paperwork (yes, really)
- A stable, long-standing team — no revolving doors here
- A workplace where staff are valued at every level
- A peaceful countryside setting that makes the commute feel worthwhile
A Note on Discretion
This is a confidential search, and all conversations will be handled with complete sensitivity.
If you believe that outstanding care comes from consistency, kindness, and knowing residents as individuals (right down to how they take their tea), we’d love to hear from you.
Apply in confidence by sending your CV, or get in touch for an informal and discreet chat.
Please note: Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and DBS checks. Unfortunately, this role is not suitable for candidates requiring sponsorship.
