Location: Tipton | Salary: £47000/annum Up to £47,000 | Type: Permanent | Depot Manager Tipton | £47,000 | 25 days'' holiday + bank holidays | Monday to Friday As Depot Manager, you''ll be taking over a depot that''s ticking along, but you''ll quickly see where standards could be better. There is a team of around 20, so you''ll have the time and space to actually make those improvements rather than spending every day firefighting. The team is made up of a Depot Yard Supervisor, Yard Operatives and Drivers. They need a Depot Manager who will take ownership of the site. Someone who notices when things aren''t quite where they should be, whether that''s standards in the yard, health and safety, organisation or simply making sure everyone knows what''s expected of them. You''ll be visible. You''ll know your team, what''s happening in the yard and what''s going out with the drivers. If standards start slipping, you''ll notice. If something isn''t safe, you won''t walk past it. And if someone needs a conversation, you''ll have it. As Depot Manager, you won''t have someone sitting next to you telling you what needs doing each day either. You''ll need to be self-driven enough to look around, see what needs improving and get on with it...
