What You’ll Be Doing

Exceed the requirements of our demanding corporate and SME customers.

Ensure full compliance with all company health and safety procedures.

Oversee the management, warehouse, and delivery teams at the Plymouth site.

Coordinate and control rotas, absence, and changing delivery/collection volumes.

Ensure service levels are met and drive profitability by building new business and identifying efficiencies.

Take full PandL responsibility.

Oversee staff recruitment, retention, development, training, and discipline.

Maintain clear communication with the Operations Director, staff, management, and customers.

Manage internal reporting of sales and costs.

Work closely with sales and our existing customers to retain and drive new business.

What We’re Looking For

Extensive experience in the parcel/logistics industry, ideally within a corporate environment.

Exceptional management and communication skills with the ability to delegate while retaining control.

Ability to inspire and mentor others.

Experience meeting corporate customer requirements and working with KPIs.

Entrepreneurial approach to maximizing revenues and profitability.

Ability to implement and manage processes and change.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to make good decisions under pressure.

Team player with a collaborative approach.

Knowledge of legal aspects of operating a logistics business.

Knowledge of the local area and an existing network within the logistics and parcel industries.
