About the role

You''ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Sundries & Gardening department. From supporting and motivating the team to maintaining retail standards, you''ll help ensure the department is organised and delivers an excellent shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the department
• Coaching and motivating the team to provide outstanding customer service
• Maintaining high standards of merchandising, stock presentation, and availability
• Helping to deliver sales targets and departmental KPIs
• Providing expert advice and guidance to customers on gardening products
• Supporting stock control, promotional activity, and seasonal changes across the department

The ideal candidate

• Previous supervisory experience within a retail environment
• A positive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example
• A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Good knowledge of gardening products, tools, compost, chemicals, or related sundries is desired
• Buying or stock management experience would be beneficial but isn''t essential
