Dementia Adviser

At Alzheimer''s Society, we believe no one should face dementia alone. Every conversation, every visit and every moment of reassurance can make a meaningful difference to someone living with dementia and those who care for them. We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and organised Dementia Adviser to join our supportive Cambridgeshire team, working 21 hours per week across Monday to Wednesday on a permanent basis. This is a community based role covering Fenland and Huntingdonshire. You will spend much of your time out in local communities, working in GP Practices meeting people face to face, carrying out home visits, attending community groups and building relationships with local organisations. While some administrative work can be completed from home, this role is centred on being present in the community and supporting people where they are. If you enjoy meeting people, building trusted relationships and working independently while making a real difference, this could be the role for you. What could a typical week look like? No two weeks are the same. You might start your day in a GP practice, supporting patients living with dementia. listening to what matters most to them and helping them navigate the challenges they are facing.
