Reporting to the Head of Demand Planning, the DTC Demand Planning Manager ensures the monthly consensus cycle is achieved and communicated across the business in the UK and EMEA. This role requires strong influencing skills, and a high level of professionalism.You will manage and coordinate all consensus demand planning activities, including forecasting, addition of marketing insights, financial reconciliation activities, and provision of the most accurate representation of the forecast to stakeholders. You will create and maintain regional omni demand plans and forecasts with consistency and high levels of alignment with key stakeholders.You will work extensively with brand leadership, sales teams, supply planning team, and finance to create highly accurate forecasts that drive business decisions throughout the organization and achieve the operational plan. Additionally, you will participate in SandOE and SandOP processes, as well as contribute to special projects and other supply chain and business strategy initiatives.Your Impact
Empowered to make decisions on behalf of the demand-planning group and share responsibility with other relevant parties to edit and approve the consensus planWork with various cross-functional teams on projects such as new product launches, line extensions, product discontinuations, promotions, and eventsGenerate a consensus demand plan with business unit leadershipLiaise with supply planning to include relevant supply planning assumptions for more informed demand planning decision makingInfluence and collaborate with key partners in marketing, sales, and finance, addressing input gaps identified by forecast error, bias, and volatility reviewsInterpret the potential impact of market trends and demand drivers on demand and adjust the statistical forecast to reflect those impactsAnalyze historical demand to understand significant deviations and create escalation processes for future reviewsIdentify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligenceConduct external benchmarking of market trends to be incorporated into the demand planUnderstand the nuances of each unique sales channel and reconcile significant variances, refine forecasts, and reduce forecast model variance across channelsCollect data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand and model the data used to generate the statistical forecastAssist in the development of annual plans and reconcile them with monetized demand plansEnsure that the demand forecast meets the format and level of detail required by all customers and supply chain partnersSuggest adjustments to generated statistical forecasts based on changes in demand and market assumptionsAssess the impact of promotions and events on demand using what-if analysis to create scenarios and recommendationsReview trends in historical sales, forecast accuracy, and forecast bias with the goal of progressive continuous improvementPrepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to forecast accuracy and the demand-planning processDocument and monitor relevant assumptions that drive changes in demand across diverse stakeholdersDefine and drive an out-of-cycle demand variance realignment process if requiredDetermine methods to address and correct any demand-planning group behaviors that adversely affect KPIsIdentify discrepancies and provide recommendations to improve demand-planning performanceDemonstrate sound business decision making aligned with company goalsBridge data analysis between demand planners and the businessWe celebrate diversity
