Based in High Wycombe, the Delivery Assistant 2026 role supports a furniture delivery operation on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. About the RoleWe are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver's Assistant to join our clients furniture delivery team in High Wycombe. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity.
You will work alongside the delivery driver to safely and efficiently deliver furniture to customers' homes and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the driver with the loading and unloading of furniture.
- Delivering furniture to customers safely and on time.
- Carrying and manoeuvring furniture into customers' properties.
- Assisting with positioning furniture where required.
- Ensuring furniture is handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Helping with vehicle loading and ensuring items are secure for transportation.
- Following delivery schedules and instructions from the driver/management.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy delivery vehicle.
- Working as part of a team to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
- Physically fit and comfortable lifting and carrying furniture.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Friendly and professional when dealing with customers.
- A good team player with a positive attitude.
- Able to follow instructions and work efficiently.
- Previous furniture delivery, removals or warehouse experience is desirable but not essential.
