Delivery and Distribution Planner , you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the daily dispatch of customer orders across the Netherlands and surrounding regions. This role focuses on scheduling efficient and cost-effective delivery routes, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) are met, and supporting the smooth distribution of large-format items.You’ll work closely with warehouse operations, third-party carriers, and in-house delivery teams to ensure timely, accurate, and customer-friendly delivery execution.Key ResponsibilitiesRoute Planning:

Create and optimize daily delivery routes for bulky items based on order volume, geography, and resource availabilitySchedule Coordination:

Align delivery appointments with customer availability and service constraints (e.g., 2-person delivery, installation slots)Carrier and Driver Coordination:

Assign deliveries to internal and external transport partners and ensure all instructions are communicated clearlyLoad Planning:

Optimize truckloads to maximize vehicle utilization while respecting size/weight constraints and delivery prioritiesSystem Management:

Use TMS and WMS to track delivery status, assign routes, and update real-time changesException Handling:

Monitor delivery progress, resolve disruptions (e.g., failed deliveries, delays), and communicate proactively with customer service teamsPerformance Monitoring:

Track KPIs such as on-time delivery rate, failed delivery ratio, and average delivery costContinuous Improvement:

Identify inefficiencies and collaborate with warehouse and transport teams to improve planning accuracy and delivery speedKey Qualifications4+ years experience in transport, logistics planning, or distribution scheduling (bulky item or white-glove delivery is a strong plus)Solid understanding of route optimization and fleet scheduling principlesExperience with TMS/WMS tools (e.g., Transwide, SAP TM, ORTEC, Manhattan, etc.)Strong organizational and problem-solving skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailGood communication skills in English;Familiarity with last-mile delivery challenges, especially for large/fragile ..... full job details .....
