Hours: 40 hours per weekContract: 12 month rolling contractPay: 27.28 PAYE 36.23 UmbrellaOvertime paid at 1.25 The RoleOur client is looking for experienced Defects Technician''s to join their rolling stock engineering operation.You''ll be responsible for carrying out fleet modifications, fault diagnosis, defect rectification, inspections, testing and technical upgrades, helping to maintain the safety, reliability and availability of the fleet.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned rolling stock modifications, engineering changes and technical upgrades.Install, remove, replace and commission rolling stock components and systems.Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system faults.Investigate defects, identify root causes and complete rectification within required timescales.Carry out inspections, functional testing and commissioning before vehicles are released to service.Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical manuals and modification instructions.Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.Accurately complete work orders, vehicle records and maintenance documentation.Work closely with engineering, production and depot teams to resolve technical issues.Act as an Authorised Person where ..... full job details .....
