Decontamination AssistantConnect2Swindon are recruiting a Decontamination Assistant to support our client!This is a Temporary role, with the opportunity to become perm for the right individual! The RoleTo safely clean, decontaminate, and prepare returned equipment for reuse, ensuring all infection control standards are met. The role supports a reliable and sustainable supply of equipment for health and social care services, contributing to service user safety and effective service deliveryKey responsibilities and accountability''s:Equipment Cleaning and Preparation Dismantle returned equipment for inspection and pre-cleaning assessment in line with established procedures Clean and decontaminate equipment to required infection control standards Operate industrial washers and mechanical cleaning equipment safely and effectively Select appropriate cleaning methods for a range of items, including regulated medical devices (e.g. suction units) Reassemble equipment following cleaning and prepare for further processing or storage Identify and escalate any faults, damage, or concerns to the Decontamination LeadRepairs, Maintenance and Quality control Carry out minor repairs (e.g. replacing pads, bolts, and basic components) in line with training and guidance Identify items requiring specialist repair or deemed beyond economic repair and escalate appropriately Complete all required documentation, including quality control and reconditioning records Conduct quality checks to ensure ..... full job details .....
