The Role To safely clean, decontaminate, and prepare returned equipment for reuse, ensuring all infection control standards are met. The role supports a reliable and sustainable supply of equipment for health and social care services, contributing to service user safety and effective service delivery Key responsibilities and accountability''s: Equipment Cleaning & Preparation * Dismantle returned equipment for inspection and pre-cleaning assessment in line with established procedures * Clean and decontaminate equipment to required infection control standards * Operate industrial washers and mechanical cleaning equipment safely and effectively * Select appropriate cleaning methods for a range of items, including regulated medical devices (e.g. suction units) * Reassemble equipment following cleaning and prepare for further processing or storage * Identify and escalate any faults, damage, or concerns to the Decontamination Lead Repairs, Maintenance & Quality control *...
