Debt Recovery Officer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Debt Recovery Officer to join a busy Adult Social Care Debt Recovery team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with debt recovery experience to manage a varied caseload, negotiate repayment arrangements and support customers while delivering effective recovery outcomes.Key Details:Contract: Initially 2 months, with potential for extensionLocation: Maidenhead, SL6Rate: £17.73 per hour PAYE / £23.04 per hour UmbrellaWorking Pattern: Full TimeWorking Hours: Flexible working hours (Flexitime)Working Arrangement: HybridOffice Attendance: Initially 2-3 days per week for training, then approximately 2 days per weekInterview Process: One-stage MS Teams interviewStart Date: September 2026Key Responsibilities:Manage Adult Social Care debt recovery cases and pursue outstanding balances.Monitor debt accounts and implement appropriate recovery action.Negotiate repayment arrangements with customers and their representatives.Liaise with Adult Social Care teams, internal departments and external stakeholders.Handle customer enquiries via telephone, email and written correspondence.Maintain accurate records, case notes and recovery activity.Support collection targets while delivering excellent customer service.Manage sensitive conversations with vulnerable customers, including elderly residents and individuals receiving care support.Required Skills and Experience:Previous Debt Recovery or Debt Collection ..... full job details .....
