DCS Engineer

DCS Engineer Wolviston Management Services are recruiting on behalf of Tioxide Materials Ltd for an experienced DCS Engineer to join the Site Engineering team at their manufacturing facility in Greatham, Hartlepool. This is a specialist control systems role supporting the safe, reliable and effective operation of the site''s DCS and PLC systems. Reporting to the Process Automation Manager, you will combine routine system maintenance and breakdown support with continuous improvement and the implementation of control-system changes arising from capital projects and technical improvement programmes. The Role Working within a 24/7 process manufacturing environment, you will take responsibility for maintaining, monitoring and improving critical control-system infrastructure while ensuring all work complies with site cyber security, EHS and corporate requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out routine maintenance on site DCS and PLC systems, including data backups, hardware condition monitoring, file housekeeping and user-interface equipment renewals. Developing and implementing DCS code changes, ensuring modifications are robustly tested before being made live. Analysing DCS performance data, investigating anomalies and monitoring control-system security and availability. Preparing control-system KPIs and routine performance reports.
