Our client is seeking an experienced DBA Specialist, supporting critical database environments and ensuring the performance, availability, and security of key business systems.This is an exciting opportunity for a database professional with strong administration, performance tuning, automation, and troubleshooting experience to work within a highly secure and complex production environment.The RoleAs a DBA Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of critical database systems. You will play a key role in ensuring database performance, resilience, and security while supporting high-availability environments.The successful candidate will be required to work onsite in either Leicester or Hursley five days per week and participate in an on-call rota for P1/P2 incidents, with additional compensation provided.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures.Monitor and optimise database performance across critical environments.Perform database administration activities including backups, restores, patching, and upgrades.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and incidents.Implement and support database security and access controls.Manage replication, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.Support database scalability and ..... full job details .....
