This is a safety-critical position responsible for operating Controlled Track Switches (CTS) to enable the 750V DC conductor rail equipment within depot sidings to be safely de-energised and re-energised, protecting personnel carrying out work from the risk of electrocution. You will also lead and supervise teams responsible for delivering a safe, clean and high-quality train environment, ensuring operational standards and an excellent customer experience are maintained. You will work 35 hours a week across a Sunday – Saturday roster with the working hours of 07:45am – 14:45pm Key Responsibilities The Day Shift Yard Protection Operative will be responsible for safely delivering Yard Protection duties in line with operational procedures, company policies and industry standards.
