We''re recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in Stirling for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their maintenance team on a permanent dayshift basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer where you''ll play a vital role in keeping production running safely and efficiently, while contributing to continuous improvement projects across the site.
The Role
As a Day Shift Electrical Engineer, you''ll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and supporting the installation and commissioning of production equipment.
Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you''ll help maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime across a busy manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs across production plant and site services
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime
- Fault find on PLC-controlled machinery and associated control systems
- Work with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Support the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
- Complete maintenance activities using the site''s CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
- Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment issues quickly and efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations and company procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen and 5S
About You
We''re looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments.
You''ll ideally have:
- NC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience maintaining manufacturing or production machinery
- Strong fault-finding ability on:
- PLC-controlled equipment
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical equipment
- Pneumatic systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Experience using planned maintenance systems (CMMS)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to fault diagnosis
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
