Day Centre Cook

Belmont Recruitment are looking for an experienced Cook to join a busy Day Centre team in Brighouse. This role is vital in preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks for service users and staff, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook and serve healthy, appetising meals tailored to dietary needs. Order supplies, manage stock and maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety and environmental health standards. Carry out daily and deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, surfaces and storage areas. Support trainees and help them develop catering skills. Requirements: NVQ in Food Preparation and Cooking (or equivalent experience). Food Safety Level 2. Previous catering experience, ideally in a care or community setting. Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
