Datacomms Technician £32,000 basic salary Hours 09:00 - 17:30 25 days holiday + bank holidays Contributory pension Location: Redhill Security Clearance: DV Clearance required or ability to obtain About the Role We are seeking a Datacomms Technician to join our Enterprise Engineering team, supporting the installation, configuration and maintenance of customer networks and communications systems. The role covers networking, IT systems, firewalls, VoIP and satellite communications, supporting customers across remote sites and vessels. Key Responsibilities Install, configure and test customer networks and equipment. Diagnose and resolve complex technical faults. Support customer projects and network deployments. Configure and maintain routers, switches and firewalls. Produce and maintain technical documentation. Assist with product and technology testing. Attend customer sites for surveys, installations and technical support. Provide technical support to customers and internal teams. Essential Skills and Experience HNC/HND or degree in IT, Electronics, Computer Science or relevant experience. Strong TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge. Experience troubleshooting complex network issues. Experience with IT systems and/or satellite communications. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proactive, flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable Cisco or Microsoft qualifications. Linux/Windows Server experience. VoIP/Asterisk ..... full job details .....
