Data Centre Technician Contract Details: 3-6 month contract, Inside IR35Location: Slough/Stockley Park, HayesStart Date: ASAP Overview We are looking for a Data Centre Technician to join a large-scale data centre environment, supporting the installation, maintenance and operation of critical IT infrastructure.This is a hands-on technical role where you will develop experience across server, network, storage and cabling infrastructure. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will support activities including hardware installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, component replacement, infrastructure changes and equipment decommissioning.The role offers the opportunity to build your technical knowledge within a complex data centre environment while developing practical experience of industry-standard operational, security, safety and data management procedures.You will work as part of a collaborative technical team, with structured on-the-job training and opportunities to develop your knowledge of data centre operations and infrastructure.The position may require up to 25% travel, primarily to other domestic sites. You must also be comfortable working 12-hour shifts, which may include evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays depending on shift assignments.Candidates must already have the right to work for the duration of the assignment without requiring visa sponsorship.
