Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technical Operative 2 - Datacentre Engineer!Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled Datacentre Engineer with a strong mechanical and technical background to support the Customisation andamp; Deployment of server/enterprise equipment within high performance and Datacentre environments. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in Datacentres.We are looking for the above skill set/experience combined with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.This role will be based in our Hatfield Integration Centre working closely with our Operational, consultancy andamp; infrastructure teams.Location: Hatfield AL10 9TWRate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £14.90 (PAYE) OR £19.33 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).Contract Length: up to 4 September 2026Shift Timings: Mon - Fri (08:00 AM - 04:00 PM)Key Responsibilities*Rack n stack of active Network hardware, Switches, Routers andamp; Servers*Understand and follow patching schedule/cut sheet.*Installing power and data connection cables within server andamp; networking racks.*Follow instructions and providing on-site support to remote network and systems administrators.*Read andamp; follow Rack Elevation Diagrams*Apply basic IP Addressing under instruction/direction.*Installing and configuring UPS systems (Desirable)*Collaborate with engineering, project management, and cross functional teams to ensure successful and timely ..... full job details .....
