Database Administrator (PostgreSQL / Oracle) Location: UK-based Remote / Hybrid Occasional travel to Kettering and customer sitesAbout the Role We''re working with a growing technology business that develops warehouse management and automation solutions for customers across the logistics sector.As part of an ongoing platform modernisation programme, the organisation is evolving towards a PostgreSQL-led environment while continuing to support a number of Oracle databases. They''re looking for a Database Administrator to join the Systems team and play a key role in both day-to-day database operations and longer-term platform improvements.This is a varied role offering a mix of BAU support, performance optimisation, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects. You''ll have the opportunity to influence database strategy while working with modern engineering and DevOps practices.Key Responsibilities Administer and support PostgreSQL and Oracle databases, with a primary focus on PostgreSQLMonitor, troubleshoot and optimise database performanceDesign and maintain high availability, replication, backup and disaster recovery solutionsPerform database upgrades, patching and lifecycle management activitiesSupport database migration and platform modernisation initiativesMaintain database security, access controls and compliance standardsInvestigate and resolve production issues in business-critical environmentsWork closely with development, infrastructure and support teams to ..... full job details .....
