You’ll play a key role in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of Content Guru’s data infrastructure, contributing to the resilience of our global services.Location…This role is based at our head office in Bracknell, Berkshire.Key responsibilities of the role…Database Design, Maintenance and Support:Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available database systemsProvide third-line support for database incidents and issuesCollaborate with other teams to support application deployment and integrationPerformance Tuning and Optimisation:Monitor and improve database performance across mission-critical environmentsTune queries, manage indexes, and analyse workloads for optimisationProvide guidance and support during performance-impacting eventsAutomation and Innovation:Develop and maintain automated processes for provisioning, monitoring, maintenance, and backupContribute to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD initiatives within the teamDrive continuous improvement in database operations and deployment strategiesBackup, Recovery and Security:Lead efforts to implement and test backup, restore, and disaster recovery proceduresSecure data systems in line with internal standards and industry best practicesWork closely with our security team to maintain compliance across all systemsCross-Team Collaboration:Work with Infrastructure, Development, and Support teams to ensure smooth data operationsContribute technical insights to project discussions and platform evolutionFoster a collaborative and high-performance team environmentAbout you…Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a STEM subject, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in a database administration or infrastructure-focused roleDeep experience with
Microsoft SQL Server
and
PostgreSQL
