Data Test Engineer (SQL/Python, Hybrid)Location: Manchester - Hybrid (2 days on site, 3 days remote)Salary: £40,000 - £42,000Duration: 12 Month Fixed Term ContractAbout the role Our client, a financial services organisation operating in a regulated, data-heavy environment, are looking for a Data Test Engineer to support testing across enterprise data platforms and system integrations. You will test data pipelines, transformations and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy across systems and validating outputs used by business stakeholders. This is a hands-on data testing role using SQL, Python, Azure and Databricks in an agile, stakeholder-facing environment.Key responsibilitiesWrite and execute test plans and test scripts across data platformsTest data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure correct transformation and movement of dataPerform data validation testing focused on completeness, accuracy and consistencyBuild and maintain reconciliation frameworks across systems and data layersAutomate testing using Python and SQL within modern data environmentsLog, track and manage defects and test outputs through to resolutionDeliver functional and regression testing across data and system changesSupport user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate real-world scenariosWork closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers and business stakeholdersContribute to agile delivery including planning, refinement and retrospectivesSkills and experienceExperience in a Data Test Engineer / Test ..... full job details .....
