PwC UK, Manchester, United Kingdom. The Data and AI capability within Tech Catalyst builds and deploys advanced AI solutions that solve hard problems for PwC and for its clients. Our team works at the frontier of AI and ML in professional services, across industries including healthcare, financial services, and professional services such as audit.We are looking for people to contribute to the development of AI tools and solutions, and help the business build capabilities on cutting-edge AI and NLP techniques to aid better decision making via agents, intelligent workflow automation and decision intelligence. We are seeking a motivated, self-starter individual, comfortable with ambiguity, who will lead and technically contribute to the design, prototyping, and delivery of AI systems in a cross-functional environment, with 6+ years of experience in data science. This role is based across our Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, and London offices.Key Responsibilities

Solution Development: Design, develop and scale AI and NLP solutions addressing specific business problems or opportunities, including understanding requirements, feasibility assessment, technique selection, and creating scalable and efficient solutions.AI Strategy: Contribute to the organisation\''s AI strategy by identifying opportunities to leverage AI technologies to drive innovation, improve processes, and enhance decision-making; stay updated on AI trends and conduct market research.Model Development and Evaluation: Develop, deploy, and evaluate AI models (including off-the-shelf models); select algorithms, optimise performance, run experiments and tests, and ensure models meet accuracy and reliability criteria.Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather requirements and align AI solutions with organisational goals.Prototyping, developing and deploying ML applications into productionContributing to machine learning enabled, business-facing applicationsContributing high-quality code to the codebaseModel validation and testing of production modelsPresenting findings to senior internal and external stakeholders via written reports and presentationsLeading work and small teams, with the ability to coach, mentor, and set technical directionThe Skills And Experience We Are Looking For

Python for API and Model development (machine learning frameworks e.g. scikit-learn) and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker)Experience applying statistics to evaluate AI implementationsUnderstanding of machine learning techniques and their real-world applicationsExperience with data manipulation libraries (e.g. Pandas, Spark, SQL)Problem-solving skillsGit for version controlCloud experience (Azure/GCP/AWS)Skills We’d Also Like To Hear About
