Data Scientist Exeter, Devon (Hybrid-working minimum of x2 days in the office you must be based locally) c£55,000 per year Plus an excellent benefits package (including Pension, Bonus, Life Insurance, Healthcare, etc.) Skills and Experience: Expert proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation is essential. You must be comfortable writing production-grade code, not just scripts. Advanced SQL skills for querying and transforming data from disparate sources. Hands-on experience with Spark (PySpark) or similar big data frameworks and working within distributed computing environments. Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure (Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory). Experience using Jupyter/Databricks Notebooks for analysis and VS Code for pipeline development. Experience working in an agile environment using Git for version control to manage codebases and collaborative workflows. Design and implement models and algorithms Replace manual Excel and VBA workflows with robust automated python pipelines. You will be responsible for producing insights to ensure they run reliably without manual intervention. Translate complex datasets into clear interactive narratives that drive strategic action across all departments.
