The role will lead the development and implementation of the organisation''s Data Retention and Deletion (DRD) capability, establishing scalable lifecycle processes and embedding appropriate controls across the future data estate, including Databricks and cloud migration initiatives. Key Responsibilities Define and evolve the Data Retention and Deletion strategy, standards and governance framework. Validate retention and deletion requirements and platform capabilities, identifying gaps, risks and recommendations. Establish retention registers, metadata standards, design patterns and governance controls. Lead data deletion and remediation activities across legacy and modern data environments. Ensure appropriate auditability, assurance and compliance across retention and deletion processes. Work with product, architecture, compliance and governance teams to embed lifecycle controls into data modernisation and cloud migration initiatives.
