Data Modelling Specialist Glasgow | Hybrid - 3 days in office | 12-month contract | £484/day PAYE We''re looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer/Data Modelling Specialist to join a leading financial services organisation''s Technology - Cyber Data Risk andamp; Resilience team in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technologist who enjoys working at the intersection of Python development, data modelling and data governance. You''ll help design scalable data models and governance solutions supporting enterprise data, risk and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities Design and maintain enterprise data and metadata models. Develop Python solutions using Pydantic and FastAPI. Configure and enhance Collibra asset models and governance workflows. Build reusable automation, validation and integration components. Work with REST APIs, JSON, YAML and SQL. Support data quality, lineage, taxonomy and metadata management. Collaborate with technology, architecture, risk, compliance and business stakeholders. Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude responsibly. What we''re looking for Strong senior-level Python development experience. Hands-on experience with Pydantic for data modelling, validation and schema design. Experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, JSON, YAML and SQL.
