Data Migration Analyst / EngineerContract 5 Months £400-£450/day Outside IR35 Fully Remote (Occasional London Meetings)We are looking for an experienced Data Migration Analyst / Engineer to support the rebuild of a data warehouse for a wealth management firm undergoing a complex system and data migration programme.Working alongside the Lead Data Engineer and in parallel with a separate application migration team, this role is focused on ensuring the newly built data warehouse faithfully reproduces existing business outputs through robust source-to-target mapping, migration validation, and transformation analysis.This is primarily a lift-and-shift migration, not a greenfield redesign, and requires someone who can operate independently, identify gaps, and translate complex legacy logic into a modern data warehouse environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of data migration and source-to-target mapping activities supporting the rebuilt data warehouse.Review limited or incomplete existing mapping documentation and complete or remediate gaps where required.Analyse legacy SQL stored procedures, transformations, and pipelines to understand reporting and MI logic.Reconcile outputs from the application migration team with current data warehouse logic to ensure continuity of business outputs.Validate that the new warehouse accurately replicates existing reporting and MI, identifying discrepancies and data gaps.Support the design and build of dimensional models where ..... full job details .....
