      <description>Location: Birmingham | Salary: &amp;pound;60000 - &amp;pound;85000/annum | Type: Permanent | Data Governance Manager   3 days in the office - Central Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield or Newcastle  FTC to March 2027  Experience Data Governance Manager needed for a public sector workstream  You will   Embed effective data ownership/stewardship  Drive accountability for data management across the data lifecycle  Enable delivery of core data capabilities which make up the DGF  Connect enterprise-wide governance with Spoke-level implementation  Create a data ethics policy, process and impact assessment   Your background   Experienced Data Governance experience in PUBLIC SECTOR is essential  Data governance frameworks and stewardship programs  Great understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality, metadata and compliance  Skills in developing and delivering training programmes  Experience in managing governance projects, coordinating multiple workstreams, and supporting organisational change  Strong knowledge of data ethics, including proven experience of creating and implementing policies, processes, training and impact assessments to enable the understanding of data ethics risks.      &lt;br</description>
