Data Engineering Tech LeadLocation: London (1 day per month onsite)Duration: Initial 6-Month ContractPay Rate: £650 - £680 (Outside IR35)The OpportunityWe''re supporting a growing loyalty and rewards organisation that is continuing to expand its data capability following significant business growth.They are seeking a hands-on Data Engineering Tech Lead to provide technical leadership across their data platform, working closely with the Head of Data to drive architectural decisions, engineering standards and platform evolution.This is a technical leadership role rather than a people management position, with a strong focus on remaining hands-on with engineering and delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical design and architecture across the data platform.Provide guidance on engineering best practices and technical standards.Conduct code reviews and support quality assurance activities.Work closely with the Head of Data on technical decision-making.Support the development and evolution of cloud data solutions.Contribute directly to engineering delivery and implementation.Technical EnvironmentAWSSnowflakedbtRequired Skills and ExperienceStrong experience leading data engineering initiatives.Deep expertise with AWS, Snowflake and dbt.Strong understanding of modern data architecture and platform design.Experience reviewing code and driving engineering best practices.Ability to influence technical direction and architectural decisions.Comfortable remaining hands-on while ..... full job details .....
