You''ll take ownership of the data engineering function, shape the long-term strategy, and build a high-performing team that will have a direct impact on business-wide decision making. THE COMPANY Our client is a leading international logistics and transportation business operating at global scale. Backed by a major multinational group, they are investing heavily in modernising their technology and data capabilities, transitioning from legacy systems to a cloud-native data platform. This role offers the chance to lead that transformation while building a sustainable in-house engineering capability. THE ROLE Lead, mentor and develop a team of 8-10 Data Engineers across onshore and offshore locations Define and deliver the data engineering strategy, roadmap and best practices Drive the migration from legacy on-premise technology to a modern AWS and Snowflake data platform Build internal capability and reduce reliance on external contractors Partner closely with Architecture, Analytics and senior business stakeholders Oversee platform reliability, support processes and engineering standards Provide technical leadership across data platform and engineering initiatives YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Strong background in Data Engineering with previous people leadership experience ..... full job details .....
