Data Engineering Lead

I am recruiting for a Data Engineering Lead to work on a hybrid basis - 3 days in London, 2 days remote.The role falls inside IR35 so you will need to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.I am searching for an experienced Data Engineering Lead to lead the migration of an Oracle-centric data platform to a modern Databricks cloud environment.You will lead the data platform workstream from the early stages of the transformation, helping define requirements and technical direction while remaining hands-on.Therefore, I am seeking someone with proven experience leading modernisation initiatives, particularly during the upstream phases of transformation programmes.This position also requires active engagement with stakeholders during the requirements definition stage prior to development. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical direction and rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.You must have strong hands-on expertise in Databricks.It is also essential for you to have strong expertise in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT technologies and Oracle-based development.You will need to be comfortable communicating technical direction to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.If your experience matches the above requirements please apply ASAP. ..... full job details .....
