Data Engineer
Location: Newcastle Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)Please note: This role requires eligibility for BPSS and SC Security Clearance, including 5 years'' continuous UK residency.The RoleWe''re looking for a Data Engineer to join a growing technology team delivering cloud and data solutions across a range of complex projects.You''ll design and build scalable data pipelines, work with modern cloud technologies, and collaborate with engineers, analysts and product teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that support analytics and AI.Key Responsibilities.andnbsp;Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines. Develop Real Time and batch data processing solutions. Work with AWS cloud services and modern data technologies. Support CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code. Collaborate within Agile teams and contribute to engineering best practicesSkills andamp; Experience.andnbsp;3+ years'' commercial experience in Data Engineering. Strong Java or Python development skills. Experience with Kafka, Flink or Spark. Experience building ETL/ELT or streaming data pipelines. Knowledge of AWS (Azure or GCP also considered). Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, ideally TerraformDesirable.andnbsp;Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery.
