Data Engineer

Must be actively SC ClearedData Engineers required to join a major public sector client based in the UK offering excellent rates for a long-term engagement. Candidates must hold active SC Clearance and be able to work on a hybrid basis, with 2 days per week on site based in the West Midlands. Required skills andamp; responsibilities You will be required to design, develop, and deploy data integration and transformation solutions across enterprise data platforms. Architect and implement scalable data pipelines supporting business intelligence, analytics, and reporting capabilities. Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver robust data solutions. Drive Agile, Scrum and DevOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment of data services. Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance standards are maintained across all solutions. Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives. Strong experience with ETL technologies including Pentaho and Talend is required. Experience with Denodo data virtualisation and SAS analytics/reporting is essential. Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, SQL and Data Modelling is required. Skills required within - Pentaho, Talend, Denodo, SAS, SQL, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile and Scrum.
