      <description>Location: West Midlands | Salary: 10000-500000 Annual | Type: Contract | Must be SC ClearedData Engineer  About the Role Data Engineer required to join a long-term contract on a hybrid basis, with on-site attendance in the West Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project, offering competitive rates while helping to deliver robust and scalable data engineering solutions. Candidates must hold active SC Clearance.  Key Responsibilities  Develop and support data engineering solutions and ETL processes. Write and optimise SQL queries and work within Unix/Linux environments. Collaborate with technical teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions. Support deployment and automation across the data platform.   Skills andamp; Experience  Active SC Clearance (essential). Experience working on data engineering projects. Strong understanding of core data engineering concepts. Proficiency in SQL and Unix/Linux. Experience with Bash Scripting is desirable. Familiarity with GitLab, Pentaho Data Integration (PDI), Berlin Job Scheduler, and AWS is advantageous.   Open to candidates based in Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Bridgnorth, Birmingham and surrounding areas.</description>
