Our client a London Market insurer is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team for an initial 6-month contract. Essential Requirements (Must-Have) Proven experience within the London Market insurance sector. Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server (2019 or later), including SSIS. Solid background in SQL database architecture and structured/relational programming. Practical use of Git or similar version control tools in a development environment. Sound knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL methodologies. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting and data solutions through design, build, and delivery phases. High level of numerical aptitude with the ability to work confidently with complex data. Comfortable working collaboratively within cross-functional teams that include both technical specialists and business stakeholders. Desirable Skills (Nice-to-Have) Familiarity with Jira or comparable work management and tracking tools. Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL database structures. Experience using ServiceNow in an IT or business support context. Knowledge of Business Objects and/or Crystal Reports for reporting solutions. Understanding of SQL Server administration tasks and best practices. Previous experience with Microsoft Access and Visual Basic.
