Data Engineer - BI Developer - Asset Management We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer/BI Developer to design, implement, and maintain data solutions that directly support front and Middle Office investment teams. The role blends technical data engineering with applied analytics, enabling portfolio managers and investment professionals to make better decisions through high-quality, well-governed data. You will build robust data pipelines, develop insightful Power BI dashboards, and ensure data quality across systems including Snowflake, SQL databases, Power BI, Bloomberg, and SimCorp. This is a mid-level role suited to someone who wants to see the tangible impact of their work in an investment management environment. The position sits with the Investment Management team but operates within the wider Technology function, following IT governance, procedures, and policies. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines into Snowflake, integrating internal and external sources (Bloomberg feeds, SimCorp outputs, market data vendors). Develop Power BI dashboards and reports for portfolio managers and other stakeholders. Deliver rapid prototypes and iterate into secure, supportable production tools. Design and optimise data models in Snowflake to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making. Ensure data accuracy, lineage, and security through robust governance practices.
