Data Engineer and Analyst - Outside IR35 - Hybrid OverviewWe are looking for a highly capable and self-sufficient Data Engineer and Analyst to support our data and reporting environment during a transitional period. This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, can quickly understand existing systems, and is confident making recommendations to improve processes and outputs.The ideal candidate thrives in environments with limited documentation, can navigate existing data resources effectively, and brings a pragmatic, solution-focused mindset.Location: Preference will be given to candidates able to work from our Newcastle office at least 3 days per week.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and monitor existing data pipelines to ensure reliability and performanceConvert a key business reporting spreadsheet into a scalable solution using SQL and Power BIDeliver ad hoc, high-priority reporting and data requestsCollaborate on and provide a structured handover to the incoming Data and Insights ManagerIdentify opportunities for improvements and proactively recommend changes to existing processesSkills and ExperienceProven ability to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsComfortable working with incomplete documentation and legacy systemsConfident communicating insights and proposing technical or process improvementsQuick to learn new systems and business contextsTechnical RequirementsExperience with Azure SQL ..... full job details .....
