Data Centre Shift EngineerLocation: Slough, Berkshire, UKContract: PermanentWe are looking for an experienced Shift Engineer / Shift Technician to join a critical data centre environment in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer with experience in critical facilities, planned and reactive maintenance, and LV electrical systems.You will be responsible for maintaining essential building services, responding to system alarms, carrying out fault-finding and ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with site procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on critical building plant and equipment.Respond to Building Management System (BMS) alarms and carry out emergency repairs where required.Maintain electrical and mechanical infrastructure within a business-critical environment.Perform LV switching and duties associated with Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP) responsibilities.Issue and manage Permits to Work, ensuring all activities comply with Safe Systems of Work.Prepare and follow switching schedules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) and supervise subcontractors.Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.Work closely with engineering management, colleagues and client representatives to ..... full job details .....
