Data Architect

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to support a Data Strategy Discovery engagement for a telecommunications client, covering Customer, Finance and Network domains.The role will assess the current data landscape, including an existing GCP BigQuery Data Lakehouse, and help define the target architecture, technology roadmap and governance framework. Key Responsibilities Lead/support stakeholder interviews and workshops across business and technical teams. Assess and document the current data landscape, platforms, systems, integrations and data flows. Catalogue databases and data sources, identifying silos, duplication and data quality issues. Assess the existing GCP/BigQuery Data Lakehouse, architecture, scalability and integration patterns. Evaluate data governance, ownership, metadata, lineage, MDM, security and compliance. Develop current-state assessments, architecture diagrams, data inventories and maturity assessments. Define the high-level target data architecture, technology stack and governance framework. Contribute to data ontology design for AI/analytics use cases and the overall data strategy roadmap. Present findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders and support stakeholder sign-off. Use Python and LLMs where appropriate to automate analysis and build data/process tools.
