Contract Opportunity - Data Architect Location: Hybrid - Bristol (2 days per week in the office) Duration: 6 Months Contract: Day Rate We''re looking for an experienced Data Architect to support a major digital and data transformation programme. This is a strategic architecture role, ideal for someone who enjoys shaping enterprise data platforms, defining target-state architectures, and influencing long-term data strategy. Key responsibilities: Assess existing Azure Databricks lakehouse environments Define the target data architecture and future roadmap Recommend platform consolidation, separation, or federated operating models Establish enterprise data architecture standards and governance Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to align data strategy with organisational objectives We''re looking for experience in: Enterprise Data Architecture Azure Data Platform and Azure Databricks Modern Data Lakehouse architectures Data modelling (conceptual, logical and physical) Data integration and pipeline design Data governance, metadata management and data lineage Enterprise-scale platform design and transformation Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Desirable: UK Public Sector, Local Government or Transport sector experience If you''re an experienced Data Architect available for your next contract and have a strong background in Azure and Databricks, I''d love to hear from you.
